Bedoobap

Bedoobap is an interesting yet educational card game that not only teaches the player about the building blocks of jazz music but also enables players to compose their own through thrilling dice rolls and challenges which adds richness to their pieces.

Bedoobap is an all-inclusive game to create a basic jazz score, complete with a step-by-step process. It offers unique challenge cards, such as Easy, Medium, and Hard, to help add character to your piece. Anyone can play it, regardless of their music knowledge level, from total beginners to experts.

Rules and How to Play

Each card that has a treble clef symbol and a number on the back represents the step-by-step guide on how to start the game.

1. Roll the 6-sided die to determine the key signature. (scan the QR code to see the scales)
2. Look for the  2, 5 and 1 notes.
3. Roll the 6-sided die again to determine the BPM (beats per minute)
4. Scan the QR code to get the basic drum line and change the BPM. (this will be the drum beat for the rest of the composition)
5.Learn the Minor 7th, Dominant 7th and Major 7th Chords based on the key.
6. Roll the 6-sided die again to determine the Rhythm (this will be the comp rhythm)
7. Now combine all the pieces into a score sheet to create a masterpiece.
8. To enrich your piece further pick a challenge card depending on your level of musical knowledge.
